Stacey L. Hughes

Stacey, a co-founder of SunLight General, manages and executes the company’s equity, debt, and tax equity transactions. She has led the development and management of seven in-house investment funds. Previously, Stacey was a Managing Director at Société Générale in charge of interest rate and currency derivative solutions for corporate clients in North and South America. She has extensive experience structuring sophisticated financial transactions, particularly within the project finance and infrastructure space. Before that, Stacey worked in the Capital Markets and Financial Institutions groups at Salomon Brothers. She has a B.S. in Finance from California Polytechnic State University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Edouard Klehe
Chief Investment Officer
Ed Klehe, a co-founder of SunLight General, has originated, developed, and brought to commercial operation over 200 renewable energy projects with a wide variety of municipal, commercial, and industrial PPA counterparties. He has helped establish one of the leading independent, integrated platforms for development, asset management, operations, and financing for distributed generation solar projects in the northeast. Ed has helped raise and close numerous tax equity facilities as well as several dedicated investment funds. Previously, he was a Managing Director of Société Générale, where he ran the Structured Credit and Principal Finance group. Ed has more than 15 years of experience working in various senior trading, investment, and structuring roles, where he developed extensive expertise in structuring financial investments. In addition, he has managed portfolios of corporate and project finance bonds, asset-backed securities, and alternative investments. He received a Masters degree in Business and Finance from H.E.C. School of Management in Paris.
William C. Zachary
Chief Development Officer
Bill Zachary, as co-founder of SunLight General, helped establish SunLight as a leading distributed generation developer, closing large municipal solar financings while leading business development efforts in the municipal, commercial, industrial, and military spaces. He was previously a Managing Director of Société Générale, where he ran the Municipal Finance group. Bill has nearly 20 years of experience structuring municipal transactions, including military housing privatizations, highly complex tax-exempt natural gas pre-pay financings, and a wide variety of derivative transactions. Before joining Société Générale in 1993, Bill worked in the Public Finance Department at Smith Barney. He has a B.A. from Harvard College and attended the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
