Founded in 2009 by professionals in the banking industry, SLG and its related companies now comprise a team of 40 people. Over the years, we have built or acquired more than 550 solar systems, 99% of which remain in our portfolio.
Because we plan to own and operate each system after development, we prioritize building high-quality, highly productive solar facilities to ensure long-term performance.

SLG specializes in structuring investment funds through equity and credit, delivering above-market returns to private and institutional investors through diversified operational cash flows and other attributes.
SunLight General Capital’s partners founded the company in 2009 after working together for nearly a decade. Over the last fifteen years, they have built the company into an owner and operator of a diverse solar portfolio in 11 states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico.
